This post is not about kids, it’s about moms. It’s about moms who confront themselves with dry and cracked skin after pregnancy.
I used to have a smooth skin before I got pregnant and it was even smoother and really soft during my pregnancy due to all the extra blood, better moisture retention and changes in hormone levels. However, after I gave birth my skin gradually became very dry and rough. I started using various natural moisturisers like coconut butter, cocoa butter, olive oil or almond oil and they helped during the warm seasons. It was the cold weather in winter that cracked the skin of my hands and face, like never before. I tried to protect my skin using gloves and mufflers, but it wasn’t enough.
Best repairing products for dry skin
Bioderma Atoderm Intensive Balm For Very Dry to Atopic Sensitive Skin – a hand and nail daily repairing treatment. This soft cream repaired the dry, red and cracked skin on my hands in no more than a week. I used 3-4 times a day and you can see from the pictures at the end of the article what was the effect. The cream is very soft and it doesn’t leave your hands greasy. It creates a coat that protects your skin from climatic aggression, detergents or dermatological problems and it is also anti-bacterial. It intensely nourishes your skin and reduces itching, too.
Bioderma Atoderm Cream for Very Dry or Sensitive Skin – a daily body and face lotion that strengthens and moisturizes the skin. It binds water in the upper layers of the skin and keeps it from evaporating, hydrating and softening your face and body. It can be used on your body after showering or as a day/night cream for your face. The results can be seen immediately. Bioderma Atoderm Cream for Very Dry or Sensitive Skin is recommended for children, too. I use it on my daughter’s skin once a week, after bath.
Bioderma Sensibio H2O Micellar Water – a perfect cleansing and make-up removing solution. It cleanses even water-resistant make-up with its gentle, sulfates-free formula. It has no smell, it refreshes and tones your skin, feeling like water on your face. It’s not oil-based, so you need to hold the cotton pad against your eyelid for a few seconds, then gently rub it a little, and the make-up will come right off.
And here is my hand before and after using Bioderma to moisturize and repair my skin. You can clearly see the difference.
I highly recommend Bioderma products and I hope they help you, mothers, regain your soft and smooth skin you had before your pregnancy.
